About What are the Meteoriks?

T he Meteoriks are a new award to honor demoscene productions of 2014. Two years after the end of the scene.org awards it is time to celebrate great computer art on the big stage again. In nine base and five special categories as well as a public choice award, we will recognize the best of the best of the previous year.

The jury Nominating and picking winners

E ach of the categories will have a separate jury consisting of three jurors who are experts in their field. Out of all submissions to each category, the individual juries will preselect a list of nominations which will be published prior to the award ceremony. Out of these nominations, a winner and possible honorable mentions will be picked.

The names of the jurors will be kept anonymous until the award ceremony. By the way, did we mention that everybody can apply to be a juror?

A head of jury is appointed and is responsible for selecting jurors out of all applications and acts as mediator and public voice of the jury.

Submission Yes, it's a requirement

T o keep the nomination process as fair and transparent as possible, authors need to submit their productions themselves. If the authors are not aware of the submission requirement, a submission can be made by anyone from their group. Also, productions can be submitted in more than one category.

The jurors of every category can each submit up to three production on their own. The authors will be informed and given the chance to withdraw in case they don’t want to participate.
